Important Things to Know

Bed frame vs mattress size:

The bed frame is always slightly larger
than the mattress size it takes. Always
check the exact dimensions on your
chosen product page.

Metric vs imperial:

Metric and imperial sizes are not exact
equivalents. Please allow +/-2cm
tolerance on all quoted measurements.

Room clearance:

Always add a minimum of 20cm to each
bed dimension when measuring your room
to ensure comfortable movement.

Step by Step — Will It Fit?

Delivering your new bed should be exciting — not stressful. The most common challenge we face is ensuring your bed fits through doorways, hallways and up staircases.
Every home is different. Follow our simple steps below to make sure your chosen bed reaches your bedroom without any issues on delivery day.

01 — Check Bedroom Space

Check the width of the bed — not the mattress — and ensure it is the right width for your bedroom.
Ideally you want at least 59cm (23 inches) of clear space around the sides of the bed to walk comfortably.

Tip: Use masking tape or cardboard on the floor to mark out the bed dimensions before ordering.

02 — Check Furniture Clearance

Check for restrictions caused by wardrobes, dressers and other furniture in the bedroom.
Make sure all doors and drawers can open fully with the bed in place.

Tip: Divan bed drawers extend approximately 55cm when opened — ensure you have enough clearance in front of them.

03 — Check Doorways & Staircases

This is the most important step.
Using the bed's widest dimensions, check it will fit through all doorways, hallways and up any staircases without causing damage.
For staircases: measure the shortest distance from the bulkhead (A) to the nearest step (B). This shortest distance (X) is what matters.

Important: Our mattresses must not be bent or folded during delivery.

Minimum doorframe width: 75cm
Minimum ceiling height: 200cm
